LPII Timeline and Application Procedures

Each component of the LPII is opt-in, but they must be completed in sequence: you must attend a Language Assessment Workshop before (re)designing assessments; a redesigned assessment must be completed before applying for a curriculum design grant. All participants must also undergo ACTL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) training. For more information, please visit our LPII page.

Timeline – 2024/2025

  • October 14, 2024 (5:00 PM – 6:00 PM): LPII Information Session, on Zoom (contact Cathy Baumann for link: ccbauman@uchicago.edu)
  • October 16, 2024: Deadline for Domain Analysis applications
  • October 28, 2024: Test Design & Development applications due
  • November 15, 2024 (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM): Language Assessment Workshop, in person
  • November 22, 2024 (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM): Test Design and Development Refresher Workshop (for returning test developers), in person
  • November 23-26, 2024: Test Design and Development Workshop, in person
  • December 16, 2024: Test Designs due
  • February 3, 2025: Test Development due
  • April 11, 2025: Curriculum Design Workshop Application due
  • April 25, May 9, May 16, and May 30, 2025: Curriculum Design Workshop, in-person, four Friday afternoons, 4-8pm
